What is the procedure for submitting work to be machined to MC78 Machine Shop?

Download and complete the appropriate Job Request Form, bring it or email it to our shop with your sketches/drawings and any existing OEM parts that we may need to assemble.

Where do I source materials, assembly hardware, etc?

Use our Sources and Supplier links page to find a list of our regular suppliers. If you require a small quantity of material from our stock, we may be able to provide it to you. A service charge may apply for material and cutting charges. Please fill out our Job Request form to purchase materials.

May I use MC78 Machine Shop tools?

If you wish to use machine tools, there is a student machine shop available. See Student Machine Shop section.

If I need Design assistance, would you provide this type of help?

Yes. We will provide quick input free if we are available. If we feel more time is required to properly address your design complexity, then we will suggest scheduling an appointment for design consultation. Our standard rates apply.

How quickly can I have my job produced by MC78?

We use a queue system where we process our customer’s orders sequentially. However, some job requests are of such short duration, that we will try to accommodate them when they arise.
